Development of indigenous CD4/CD8 assay for HIV:
MTI entered into a tripartite agreement, on Apr 22, 2005, with the Department of Science and Technology, India, and JNCASR for the development of CD4/CD8 assay. Clinically, this test is performed before starting an antiretroviral therapy, however, is offered at a very high cost. MTI’s test will have enormous potential where funds are limited and equipment is scarce.
